eye/aI/ n. 眼睛 为可数名词。其复数形式为eyes。
eg: You're the apple of my eye.你是我的掌上明珠。
“一只眼睛”为 an eye。

smell/smel/ v. 嗅;闻起来
eg:Please smell the soup!请闻闻这汤!
smell 也可作连系动词,意为“闻起来”,后面常接形容词作表语。
eg:Dinner smells good. 晚饭闻起来好香。

talk with意为“用……说话”。
辨析talk,say,speak和tell
speak
不强调说话的内容,但有时讲某种语言、(在会上)发言要用speak。
I can't speak Japanese.我不会讲日语。
say
意为“说;讲”,强调的是说话的内容。
She didn't say anything.她什么也没说。
talk
意为“谈话;交谈”,可用作不及物动词和名词,常用词组:talk to/with sb.和某人谈话, talk about sth./sb.谈论某事/人。
I want to talk to my English teacher.我想和我的英语老师谈一谈。
Let's talk about this photo.我们来谈论一下这张照片吧。
tell
意为“说,告诉”,侧重于“告诉”,作及物动词,后常跟双宾语。tell sb.sth.告诉某人某事。tell sb.to do sth.告诉某人去做某事。
Let me tell you a joke.让我给你讲个笑话吧。
Tell him to come here on time.告诉他按时到这儿来。
