information /ɪnfə'meɪʃn/n.信息； 消息

news 和information 辨析
news“消息；新闻”，主要侧重于“新”。它是指事件等发生后不久的消息。尤其指广播、电视、报刊等新闻媒介所报道的“消息”和“新闻”，是不可数名词。
eg：There is a piece of interesting news in the newspaper.
报上有一则有趣的新闻。
information作“消息；情报”讲时，指通过观察、学习、阅读、调查和交谈所获得的消息、情报乃至资料和知识等。它侧重于内容，是不可数名词。
